屏山文物徑的反思

最印象深刻的情景


在這一次屏山文物徑的路途上，我感覺到印象最深刻的就是我看到上漳圍外墻上安置了一部冷氣機和郵箱，當時我覺得很驚訝，為什麼現代人的電器會融入了圍村人的生活呢？我真希望科技與經濟發展的同時，傳統能夠跟現代並存。

There are a lot of interesting and unique festivals in some old Hong Kong area. It is all about the old days of Hong Kong and they’re memorable. Also, when the Government discovers them, it will promote it to the West. It is supose to be a good thing, but it causes that people are gradually forgetting the real meaning of the festivals.

I think the government should hold some exhabition to educate the people about the real meaning of the festivals to prefend the people from just thinking the festivals are just holidays.

Nowadays in Hong Kong, the people concerning cultural aspect claim that these festivals have lost their original meanings. For example, Mid-Autumn Festival has become 'Food Festival' or 'Commodities Festival'. Also, commercialisation of festivals also helps these festival to lose their 'hun'. For example, during some festivals, people send gifts to their friends or relatives is just only a sham. These are the evidences.

反思問題：

1.      市民對於節日商品化和保存節日傳統文化，持有甚麼的態度呢？

     In Hong Kong nowadays, most of the people do not know the actual meaning behind a festival. Most of them only remember to relax by shopping but not understanding the meaning and are not really ‘celebrating’ the festivals. They think that festivals can produce a chance for them to relax themselves.

      For example, one of the citizens from the video said that she went to food exhibition on Christmas Day only because she wanted to consume. This reflects that the culture understanding of Hong Kong citizens is very weak. Most of the people would think about relaxing but not gathering at Christmas. This is the strong prove for the non-balance between festival commercialism and keeping festival traditions of citizens nowadays.

1. 商界對於節日商品化和保存節日傳統文化，起了甚麼的作用呢？

If I am a merchant, in order to improve trading and business, I will drape up with the flavor of the Festival (e.g. decorate with adornments that related to the Festival or play the music or send the gift to them).
On the other hand, whether the traditional Chinese festivals or Western festivals, there will always be a symbol of at least one item, not only bring huge profits to businesses, and also can help to preserve traditional culture.
And we can found that even there is more than a month before the Festival, we have started to celebrate it and the market is beginning to feel the flavor of the Festival. And also we can found either children or adult celebrate the Festival.
And actually as I am a merchant, I must help the Festival became commercialization to make a big profit and business.
From these view points, we can found that a merchant is important to preserve traditional culture and also to the commercialization of the Festival.

A: Yes, I'd like to celebrate Halloween even if I don't have kids. It is because

- Halloween is a new festival for us. It is full of fun and happiness and it can help me to increase my knowledge about Western culture.

- I can review my childhood memory by means of Halloween.

- When I use money to buy consumers during Halloween, it can promote economic development.

Owing to the above reasons, I'd like to celebrate Halloween even if I don't have kids.

A: Yes, I would also like to celebrate Halloween if I don't have kids because :

1) Halloween gives me happpiness and excitement but not scary and this is because everyone would like to play trick on the others.

2) On the other hand, I can also feel the flavor of the festival.

3) And I can also know more about the Western Festival, including the traditional, method to celebrate, additude for this Festival and so on.

4) As this Festivl is come from the culture, so I could also know more about the background of culture
